Adding a Menu Item
Step 1: Upon selecting the + New Item button, a new window will populate on the page.
Step 2: Within this tab, enter the following:
Name – Guest facing; appears on the Ziosk devices (19 characters) (Example: CARROT CAKE_1)
Description (Example: Three-layer carrot cake, cream cheese frosting, caramel sauce, toasted walnut.)
Select Special Designations (Example: Kid’s Menu)
Universal Identifier (Example: DL_CARROT_CAKE)
Notes – May be used to identify content groups in guest experience for sites that offer this item. (Example: CARROT CAKE)
Preparation Time (Time to prepare item)
Image – Click on the image to see details. Each image must have tags: ‘Full’ and ‘Ziosk’ – See image below:
Contains Alcohol (Yes or No)
Substitution Item (Yes or No)
Visible to Guest? (Yes or No)
Available For (Select which devices this will be for Example: zMini)
Step 3: Under POS Information, enter:
Name – May be edited to reflect what shows up on the POS. (Example: Nachos)
PLU – Price Look Up
Alternate ID – May be used to list coordinates associated with replacement of this item on the POS.
Refill PLU (Optional)
Refill Alternate ID (Optional)
Price – Leave blank as the device will display the price based on POS configuration.
Step 4: Select Save or Save and Close.
